Stephanie Hankey

Stephanie is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Tactical Technology Collective. Her work combines her technology, art and activism background with her focus on privacy, personal data, ethics and design. Stephanie has a degree in the History of Design and Art from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Masters in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art, London.
She currently talks, teaches, writes and consults on ‘the politics of data’. She is also the co-founder of the creative agency Tactical Studios, the co-curator of the exhibition ‘Nervous Systems: Quantified Life and the Social Question’ and the co-curator of ‘The Glass Room’. She has been awarded an Ashoka Fellowship for her work as a social entrepreneur. In 2016/17 she was an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.
In 2017, she was a Visiting Industry Associate with the project.
