OxCAIGG’s first report of 2021, authored by Godo Ramizo Jr., offers practical lessons for government AI projects based on evidence from smart city initiatives. Using a review of the existing literature and interviews with senior government officials from Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore who have worked on Smart City and similar AI-driven projects, this report demonstrates the diversity of government AI projects and identifies practical principles that help safeguard public interest.
