    Comprop researcher Jonathan Bright has been quoted in an article by The Guardian on the policies that Facebook and Twitter are implementing in their attempts to respond to challenges that have arisen in the lead up to the 2020 US election. Jonathan said that:

    The policy changes “represent a bit of desperation on both platforms and society at large about meaningful ways of getting to grip with the problems.” […] “This is a very particular situation: I don’t think they’re planning on having this as their normal election playbook. For me it reflects an evolving acceptance on the part of platforms that they are wielding enormous power.”
