    Comprop researcher Jonathan Bright has contributed to an article in The Telegraph that discusses the anxieties of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter in the run up to the 2020 US Election. After warnings from US Federal authorities that social media would be used for both foreign and domestic actors creating disinformation campaigns, the tech giants are facing the possibility that they will be blamed if the election is considered to have been undermined. Jonathan said that one way in which social media companies could moderate political speech is by focusing on the websites from where people take material with false claims and share on their platforms.
